Scope & Career Prospects:
To become a successful professional in teaching field one should have a minimum qualification in Bachelor of Education. The job opportunities for these professionals are numerous. They can find employment in various government and government aided institutions. For this recruitment the government organizes SET. After qualifying this examination one can join as teacher in any government school in the State. The B.Ed graduates can teach in high primary and high school level. The M.Ed graduates can find employment in schools anywhere in the country after qualifying the NET. They can teach in higher secondary level and even work as lecturers in various universities or colleges.
Duration:
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course shall be a two year full time professional preservice teacher education programme with each year divided in two semesters. It shall be a full time course including Theory, Practice in teaching, internship, field work, professional development and other prescribed activities.
Eligibility:
Graduate under at least 10+2+3 pattern with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. The candidates who have completed the B.E. or B.Tech can also apply for the exam provided the candidates have a minimum of 55% marks and Science and Mathematics as their subjects. For SC/ST students, the eligibility will be reduced by 5%.

Admission & Counseling Procedure:
Admission to B.Ed. course shall be made in accordance with State Govt. Order and notifications issued from time to time. Aspirants will have to appear in B.Ed Joint Entrance Examination and get their counseling done at the University. Choose City Womens College , Ratankhand as your 1st option to get enrolled in B.Ed Program.
Process of Applying :
Aspirants who are willing to take admission in B.Ed. course of Lucknow University can submit their online application forms by visiting the official web portal of Lucknow University :lkouniv.ac.in or UP B.Ed. : upbed.nic.in. Aspirants must fill the online application form and upload scanned copy of required documents. Contenders must make payment of the application fee and submit the completely filled online application form. After submitting the online application form aspirants must take print out of the same and send it to the address mentioned in the information brochure.

Award of Degree:
The degree of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) of the University of Lucknow shall be awarded to candidates who have pursued a regular course of study in the university and have fulfilled all the conditions and have passed the prescribed examinations.
